Importing TNRIS contour .shp files

Postby opollard » Thu Jan 31, 2008 6:56 pm

I would like to use the GIS toolbar to import a TNRIS contour .shp file with elevation attributes. I recieve an error that says "Please run GIS settings!" Do you know the process I should be using to bring these shp files into CAD

You must first run gis settings at the top of GIS pulldown and set a template database file. Once you set this then you can run the import shape file.

have you imported this file?

Jason,

Have you ever imported this particular file? I got the contours in my modelspace, but they are not geo referenced in the same way as a simple shp file import with AutoCAD commands, where you can select the coordinate system and such.

Have any ideas or comments? maybe i can send you the file to play with??!!...

Thanks
Ollie
