convert rw5 - fbk makes backsite check a side shot

Postby Tom Whatley » Wed Aug 10, 2005 1:14 am

I'm new to Carlson products and might have missed this searching the KB and
NG, so I apologize if this has been discussed. When our crews perform a
backsite check in Carlson Explorer the resulting line in the rw5 looks like
this:
BD,OP9,FP3,AR0.0000,ZE89.5604,SD1475.247,--TOPO3
upon conversion to fbk we get this:
F1 VA 3 0.0000 1475.247 89.5604 "BSCK3" (a side shot)
When I import this fbk I get a conflict between the existing control point
(in this case #3) and the side shot. No big deal really, I can just tag the
line with a ! to ignore it, but I have to do that at every set up. I could
also run find/replace in the rw5 and put a -- in front of the BD. But what
I'd like to do is set up Carlson Xport to do this automatically during
conversion. Possible? TIA
