Point coding for LDD

Postby dstandrich » Thu Oct 06, 2005 4:36 pm

Hello,
I am looking for help for our survey crew. They are using Topcon Ranger
with Carlson Serve C.E. loaded. I am the CAD tech trying to help them.
They go through a number of steps to dump, edit and get the points and
linework into Land Desktop for our CAD department to use. Now they are
asking for additional software from Carlson to make their job easier. My
question is whether the change will affect what the data looks like when
our CAD department gets it. Can someone help me with the coding of points
in the data collector so they can be dumped with the routines in Autodesk
Survey module right to AutoCAD, make fieldbook, and import points along
with all of the linework? This is possible isn't it? I would greatly
appreciate any help and examples of coding for automating the linework. I
am scheduled to attend Autodesk University in November, but would like to
find some answers before then. Thank you in advance.
Daryl
