Hello,

I have Koden CVS-118 echo sounder. Its data output format is NMEA-0183
(DBS, DBT, DPT, MTW, VHW). Which sounder have I got to select from the
Depth Sounder list of Peripherals in SurvCE ?

Thank you !

Hello,

Here is a quote from our Programmers in regards to using other Makes and
Models of Depth Sounders that are not Listed in the Peripherals:

The "Horizon" depth sounder uses a standard NMEA 0183 $SDDBT message. Most
generic depth sounders should be able to output this message type. I would
say select Horizon and give it a try .

Hope this helps out.

Hi
Can anyone recommend cheap generic type depth sounders that will work and provide good results in shallow water?
I have looked but it appears some of the small portable fish finders/sounders don't have NMEA outputs, just power and transducer connections.

We occasionally take readings/soundings, it would be nice to reable to record possitions and depths.
