SurvCe 2.00 &n Topcon

Postby Dave » Mon Jun 18, 2007 9:31 pm

The new version is not reading the Zenith angles correctly in the "Set
Collection" menu. In fact the raw file is giving me zenith angles with the
minutes being over 60'( see excerpt below). My horizontal angles and Slope
Distance is good. What is causing my Zenith angles to have more than 60
minutes?
We are using a Topcon GPT 2003.

Thanks

Dave,
I've got the same thing with my Topcon 700 series. No progress yet.

Well, It's comforting to know that I am not the only one. It worked great
in version 1.65.

Does anyone from Carlson want to chime in on this? This is a serious
issue. I'm sure we are just the first to discover it. Every Topcon is
bound to have this problem...

How about Elevations?

Postby Terry Strickland » Tue Jun 19, 2007 6:51 pm

Have you noticed any difference in Elevations in the CRD file?
I haven't looked at my ZA in the raw file, but the elevations seem to
check good. Is this just a problem with turning sets? Maybe something in
settings? This definitely needs some attention.

Re: How about Elevations?

Postby Dave » Tue Jun 19, 2007 7:55 pm

So far, I only notice this problem in "Set Collection". The Horizontal and
Slope distance are correct in the RW5 file. I checked all settings and
tried many tests. Right now, I am waiting on Carlson Support. I haven't
notice any problems with elevations in the CRD file.
I would like to know if this is a Topcon Communications problem, or if other
Total Stations are having this problem too? I tried entering a set using
"Manual Total Station." In my RW5 file, it's converting my ZE to Decimal
Degrees, but the Hor angles are in Deg.MMSS.

I'm having the same problem with a Calson Explorer 600+ and a Leica
TCR805power. Has version 2.01 also resolved the issue with this equipment?

Thanks

Jason
