"N/A" displayed when trying to Set and read w/ Sok

Postby delliottg » Thu Mar 20, 2008 2:22 pm

We downloaded 2.04 and installed it on two of our Allegro CX's for use with our Sokkia SRX robot to fix the shooting into the buffer problem. While that problem appears to have gone away, a new one has cropped up in it's place.

When you try to set & read to set your backsight, the display will flash the reading, then display "N/A", which is also what's stored to the RW5 file. Three of our crews are reporting this, and I can provide multiple RW5 files if you need more data. The workaround is to simply set the angle manually.

Here's an example of RW5 output:
(I've highlighted the first instance below)

Do you have version 2.04 or 2.03? I've been looking for 2.04 since it was mentioned in your other post and I just looked on upgrade site and only find 2.03. That said we have noticed some issues with 2.02 and 2.03 and Sokkia TS. Not the back sight problem you mention but stake out in 2.03 had problems and 2.02 will put a wrong back sight circle reading after doing set collection. We are not using the SRX but an older moterized 230 RM. I noticed in your raw file that Equipment is Sokkia Set. Our raw files list Equipment as Sokkia Motorized set. Do you have SurvCE set to use SRX Series TS or some other Sokkia Set TS? I don't know if this would cause problems or not. I, like you, am hoping for a fix in the new release when it comes out.
