Bogus distances

Postby jbrock » Thu Jul 31, 2008 2:04 pm

I'm running 2.04 on my Allegro CE. I ran a traverse on Saturday with less than spectacular results. Upon re-running the lines, I realized that the distances at one setup were 0.1 off. It seems to be an isolated incident and I have no way of knowing if this also happens randomly when I'm shooting topo or staking out. I studied the raw file to make sure it wasn't a prism constant problem. My Leica TCR702 was in the shop recently, so I'm pretty sure that is not an issue.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Sounds like it was in prismless mode during the shot, hence the 30mm or 0.1' difference, but I'm not familiar with Leica equipment. If you're using the same data collector in the above post, it might have switched to this without you knowing it. However, should have shown up in raw data file.
