v2.06 + FC100 + Hiper XT (Digital) = Paper Weights

Postby AUSTIN » Mon Aug 25, 2008 12:01 am

Just a warning about upgrading to v2.06.

BIG Problem with Hiper Digital Radios (and probably others).
Setup was as per thread title, but suspect it will be more widespread.

No comms between Base & Rover.
Tried all options & remedies.

Re-installed v2.05 and no problems.

Bill for lost time and BETA testing on it's way to Carlson.

Topcon Hiper XT / SurvCE 2.06

Postby Artanian » Wed Aug 27, 2008 7:32 pm

Hello - thank you for the detailed feedback on version 2.06 using a Topcon Hiper XT.

This is a known issue that was just tested and reported internally earlier this week - apparently the "GPS Base" routine was causing the issue.

The programmers are working to resolve this issue for the next release.

Hi Artanian,

could you do us all a favour and disclose whether or not this problem is likely to affect all brands?

Also, the release notes in the download section are still dated March 2008 (but contain info on the june 2.05 version anyway, but not 2.06)

thanks

Yes, I reported it earlier this week.

Got the recommendation NOT to upgrade to any new versions until release notes are published / or until they've been out a while and tested by other guinea pigs like myself.

Way to have faith in the product
