SurvCE 2.5

Postby 99marshall99 » Sat Mar 14, 2009 12:13 pm

Did anyone catch the SurvCE 2.5 webinar? I missed it but wanted to know the new and upgraded features in it. Maybe there was a list provided. I am not sure if the webinar is up on the site but I probably couldn't watch it anyway because I am still on very slow dial-up! :x

Also, is it going to be a regular free version upgrade or will there be a fee to upgrade to this version from 2.0?

I also missed it, but watched the video. It's on the website.
It is a free upgrade to 2.X users is my understanding.
It's worth the watch. looking forward to the release, I believe they said soemetime in May?

Edit: They didn't mention digital levels in the webinar, but I do hope they get around to adding the leica levels, particularly the Sprinter, to SurvCE. There are a lot of things that I could use it on.

Was just wondering what the progress/status of this is. Does anyone have a time frame of when this is due for release? If it was originally slated for May, and it was delayed some, it should be released soon.

I think I figured out what the holdup is.
They would have to add another category "SurvCE 2.5" to the forum.

What's going on with survce 2.5. when is this going to be release.
Our company started to buy TDS survey pro again because all our total station are Trimble and Carlson is not compatible with trimble. we are hoping that 2.5 would fix that and if not, we are going to stay with tds.
Even with the trimble 5600 is not working that good either.

I agree, I use my old data collector with SurvCE 1.64 with our 5600 not the data collector with SurvCE 2

It's been almost a year since 99marshall99 started this thread, more than that since the webinar on 2.5.
Any news on 2.5? It's been a long wait...

Even the release notes have been updated!

Aso, many thanks for leaving the shoe salesmen barefoot!

BTW, will the help files be available for installation on the data collector?
TIA,
Terry

 Testing it right now!

I cant load symbols even if i'm adding a 14x14 bmp and a dxf file with the same name on the SurvStar\Symbols\ folder. Anyone can try to see if they are able to get something in the set symbols menu in feature code list?
