SurvCE 2.09 on topcon FC-2500

Need some help with 2.09 on tps FC-2500. It installs ok, but audible alerts do not work. Yes, they are turned on. 1.67 on the same controller works fine.
With no sound it makes it very hard to survey by looking at screen everytime you take a shot.
