My Jet CE got wet Fri. when it dried out I tried to turn it on and only get a start up screen with "no.nk bin found on system socket"
Is this the kiss of death? I hope not, I wanted to go out not oweing any money.
I was hoping for a secret boot to jump start the system.

This message means that the operating system has become corrupted. The best thing to do would be to send it in for repair. However, if you are concerned about data on the collector and would like to retrieve it before you send it in, you can follow the instructions found in our Knowledge Base article #660 on Recovering from a White Screen Lock-up. Here is the link to that article.

There is no guarantee that the files on the collector will be salvageable following this reinstallation of the operating system.
