Bluetooth rs232 adapter

Postby ColC » Mon May 03, 2010 12:45 pm

I am currently using a Surveyor+ and a Sokkia 350R and I am trying to get a suitable bluetooth adapter. Can anyone recommend a suitable product. I have tried a BTI v2.0 without success. I think I tied every possible combination.

I use one of these:

to connect my Archer to a pair of 900Mhz spread spectrum modems to run my Leica robot. You can power it with 12v through pin 9 on the DB-9 connector, or, it will run on 6v through the barrel connector on the side of the device. Curt Busby at XYZ software sells them here in the USA.

bluetooth is problematic, BUT there aren't any wires...

Many thanks. That one looks a little more specific for our use.

plug-in unit

Sokkia now have (apart from the full official retrofit option) a plug-in Bluetooth module. It's a tiny thing that simply hangs of the total stations' Hirose connector with a 10cm cable. It draws power from the serial port, so no worries about batteries.
Its origins are in Sokkia Europe.
