Partial Measurements

Postby cujo » Sat Jul 10, 2010 5:20 am

We run SurvCE on the Allegro with a Leica robots...

We process our surveys through StarNet for least squares adjustment.

I've like to take advantage more often of angle only shots to remote points that no distance can be shot to. Some might call that a "natural" or whatever. If I can throw in a set of angles to some remote point visible from multiple occupations it can serisouly help strengthen survey work.

Currently we've written this data down to enter into the adjustment later by had. Is there a simple way to storw angles only in the raw file or does SurvCE always want a distance so it can create a coordinate?

We don't work with our field coordinates, those are crap compared to what we can generate in the office after an adjustment. Any tips would be appreciated.
Take care,

Rich

In Carlson SurvCE Version 2.50 and higher if you go into Survey / Store Points and tap "O" for offsets you can tap the "Ang Rdgs" tab to read Angle Only measurement data and record it into the Raw File.
