I am having difficulty in getting symbols that I create to load into Survce2.51. I have been able to use the symbols that are provided by Carlson but not the ones I have created. I noticed that in the Carlson symbol folders there is a dxf and a bmp file associated with each symbol that will be displayed on the data collector, but when I try to do this nothing is displayed. Has anyone been able to create their own symbols and if so how

To my knowledge its not possible to create user-generated symbols in SurvCE on the data collector

I would like to know how to import standard symbols into SurvCe. I have copied my symbol drawings into my Surveyor+ , but I cannot direct the program to select the symbol dwgs.
