SurvCE Stake Line/Arc Option/Wishlist

Postby anastassios » Thu Mar 31, 2011 9:52 am

With the Stake Line/Arc, Define Line option the program requires First Pt ID and Second Pt ID or Azimuth then the user has 2 options Station/Offset and Point On Line. With the Point on Line option the program shows within the graphics screen a bold line to show the direction of the straight line the target icon on the line and the triangle for the position of the GPS Rover. Below it displays depending on the options you select directions to guide you to the target location. Specifically the program displays Station and Left or Right Offset from the line target point. For our work we find it very usefull to be able to display additionally the horizontal distance from the GPS Rover current location to the First Pt ID as defined previously as well as the angle between the previously defined target straight line and the line between the GPS Rover current location to the First Pt ID. This could be usefull when you need to find an appropriate position in the field for electric utility poles and need to know the distance from the previous one as well as the angle that the line will turn. Is there a way to have the program display these values?

Thanks

Line and Distance For Previous Point As Well As Next Point

Postby bhammer » Mon May 09, 2011 4:24 pm

Unfortunately, this it is not possible to show the information for both the previous and next points at the same time. You can select only one of these methods to layout your point.

I will submit the request to our programming staff.
