When field to finishing, can I create distinct layers just for Notes?

In Additional Draw Options under Point Lable Settings, I can only get Notes to come into my drawing when ALSO selecting Point Numbers to display - but then the Notes are on the same layer as the Points.

I perused this forum and know how to create a distinct notes layer when using Draw-Locate Points but I want to do it within F2F.

Any advice? Thanks.

I HAD DONE IT IN THE PAST BUT NOW FORGET...

Go to your Field To Finish tab and select edit the file. Click edit on the desired descriptor. Middle of the tab is an Attribute tab. Set it to BOTH. Then look at the BIG radio button to the right. You can then set your point entities to come in on whatever layer you want,
