Importing new coordinates to existing .crd at specified #

Former LDD user here. I'm sure this is simple but what's the best way to import additional coordinates? I have an existing drawing and .crd file, I want to import a new .txt file that begins at #1. I need to import beginning at a specified point#. It seems to want to merge the file rather than start at specified # and go up from there.

go to points menu use import text/ascii files command
use "value to add to point#s" function,
