Convert LDD.mdb

New to Carlson personally. My company has had it since 2009. I keep getting a fatal error when trying to convert a points.mdb to .crd. What gives? Works well when I import a text file.

I run into this trouble everytime I try BUT I still try!

If you have Microsoft Access (sometimes is a part of Microsoft Office), open up the database and export (or save as) to a .csv (comma delimited) file OR if you still have LDD loaded on a machine for this reason, even a easier solution.

If you export as a .csv you may have to rearrange the fields (in Carlson) before importing the text file. You also may have to change the extension to .txt OR .asc. either way they are just text files.

Maybe the conversion actually works in Carlson and there's some little setting somewhere that needs to be toggled but I have NEVER had any success with this routine. Also with the other options mentioned, it works the way I choose to go.

If you do not have Access, maybe the Access viewer floating around the web can export ar save as .csv. Not sure.
