I want my fractions such as NW1/4 to appear as such constantly but when I type text it puts the 1/4 as a fraction and it is hard to read when a plat is reduced I can space and maybe backspace and make it appear as I want it but I want it to always appear as I want. I use Carlson 2013 embedded Autocad. Thanks.

Using DTEXT does it just like you want.

With MTEXT, when I entered a fraction, the AUTO STACK box popped up and asked me which way I want it.

You can turn that box off. So if you need to "swap" the way the fraction is displayed, in the MTEXT editor hit the stack icon, it looks like a b /a, just to the left of BYLAYER.

I go to mtext and I see the b/a stack icon but when I click it, it still does not change.

I tested it using the ROMANS and SIMPLEX fonts.

HIGHLITE your "fraction" in the MTEXT editor, NOW hit the b/a icon.

Enter the fraction as "1#4" , highlight it, and then hit the b/a button.
