Network Graphics: Point Information

Postby cujo » Fri Nov 21, 2008 1:06 am

When viewing the Network Graphics view, there is a button "Pick Point" that doesn't do anything when I pick a point. I can tell that there is an interface for selecting a point, because if I pick on two or more points overlapping each other, a small pop-up asks me to clarify which point I am trying to pick. This also occurs without using the "Pick Point" button and just attempting to pick on overlapping points.

In both cases however nothing happens afterwards. Am I supposed to be seeing a point data box with information such as attributes and error values? (This is what StarNet does, so I'm by habit expecting that and this behavior leads me to think it is supposed to.)
Take care,

Rich

PDF Manual

Here is an entry from the Survnet PDF manual:
http://update.carlsonsw.com/kbase_attac ... Manual.pdf

Page 64:

Pick Point.

This button allows the user to navigate within the .CGR raw editor from the graphics window.

Currently this button serves no purpose when working with .RW5 data.

So if your using a Carlson RW5 file format this pick point routine does nothing. You have to load a *.CGR C&G raw file for this to work differently

SurvNET plays favorites...

Thanks Artanian, I missed that in the manual.

Partially because when I select HELP - SURVNET HELP I get:

Could not find help file: C:\...\CARLSON2008::SURVNET

___

Powers that be,

Is it intended to make SurvNET tailored to work with Carslcon SurvCE files (.rw5) as well?

Are there other features that haven't been ported over from its days with C&G alone?

Will an indexed help file be added?

I'm trying to look into the feasability of making the transition from StartNET to SurvNET.
Take care,

Rich
