Retaining Wall Takeoff

Postby bbarton » Tue Jul 24, 2018 7:08 pm

With retaining walls having both top of wall and bottom of wall at varying elevations. Are the any recommendations for expedited Takeoff or modeling methods when calculating retaining wall quantities? In particular,
a. SF Face of Wall
b. Backfill behind a Wall face (usually detailed with horizontal limits from face of wall and geogrids). On taller walls, these quantities can be significant and constructed with an imported fill material.
c. Slopeback Fill. Where walls are built in a cut, excavation must have an OSHA compliant layback slope creating need for additional excavation and backfill beyond the minimum limits of structural fill.

Thanks.
