Geoid Grid Files

Which file contains the latest geoid model for XML... GeoidGridFiles.exe or
the geoid.zip? Are they on the CD? I'm looking at the
http://update.carlsonsw.com/public folder.

Thanks,
Dave C.

The .zip file is dated 06/2002 so I would get that one. It will be included on future CD builds.

Hi, everyone.

I have got one question (problem) about geoid grid files.

I want to export my grid file (.grd) to the geoid model file (.gsf) for using in SurvCE.

I have got ellipsoidal height (by GPS) and leveling heigfht (by the level) of the same points. So, I created Carlson grid file (.grd) by the menu Surface->Make 3D Grid File.
I searched at the internet and found one Instruction (Turorial). There I have read that I can open the frid file in any text editor software, delete some bottom strings and change file extension from .grd to .gsf renameing in Windows. That was ASCII file. And after it it is ready to use in SurvCE as geoid model.
But I open my grid file in any Text editor software, I see that it is binary file.

I don't know can I use my .grd file which I ahve created in Survey, as gsf file only rename the extension?

Or is there other way for it?

Thank you!
