point numbers

Another suggestion. When trying to assign a point number that already
exists, rather than giving the next highest point number in the entire
coordinate file, I would like to see it take me to the next available
number
from the point I tried to assign.

Example:
Coordinate file contains points 1-100 and 200-500.

Command line would say:
Pick point to create:
Enter Point Number <501>: 50
Point number 50 already used!
[O]verwrite w/new coordinates, overwrite [A]ll, or use number <501>:

Instead make the last line say this:
[O]verwrite w/new coordinates, overwrite [A]ll, or use number <101>:

101 would be the next highest available. Maybe their could be a switch
for
next available or highest available or just show both.

We use 9000 series numbers for GPS control points and It wants to always
jump to the next highest 9000 number.

Yes, it would go to the next available number above the point number
selected, not the next point number above the highest number.
