Is there a way of saving cogo files directly when ever you want and not
saving the drawing file?
I looked in the preferences, but did not see that option. I'm using
Carlson
Survey CES.

What files do you mean when you say "cogo files"? Are you talking about
the
Coordinate File? CRD files are written to immediately when a change is
made.
Saving a drawing does not save anything but the DWG file.
