Legal Descriptions

Postby John Dickson » Fri Jun 08, 2001 8:02 am

I have a legal with multiple courses from the point of commencement to
the
point of beginning, but the legal writer only gets the last call
correct.
Is there another way the create the legal?

Keep in mind that the Legal Description Writer requires a closed
polyline presenting the path of the description, and it can't assemble
fragments.

Could you email me the drawing containing the polyline(s) that exhibit
this behavior?

Terry,

The parcel is a closed polyline, but I have multiple courses that are
needed
to get to the start of the polyline. Legal Description Writer needs to
be
able to handle more than one course before the point of beginning. For
example you start at a section corner. Then you go along the section
line
and make a right angle tie over to your parcel. LDW does not handle
these
two courses correctly. It is not uncommon to have as many a 4 or 5
courses
before the point of beginning. Can this feature be added to the next
build?

We are getting numerous requests for this, so it has floated to the top
of the priority list of improvements for Legal.
