You must be talking about Tools>Insert Symbols command
Are you sure it's not being inserted at a bigger scale factor? Zoom
extents
to make sure.

If you are inserting into PS, then the horizontal scale should be set to
1
or you could adjust the symbol size.

Nope. I am referring to "tools>Edit Symbol Library". I create a
block from something located in paper space and store it in the symbol
library. Then I use "Tools>Insert Symbols" to insert it into paper
space and the object does not get inserted. However if I create the
same symbol in model space and then insert it in paper space, it
works. Basically what I am saying is that any symbol created in paper
space will not insert in either model nor paper space.

Geoffrey,
I cannot duplicate this problem. [See the movie over in
customer-files].
Did you try it in a new drawing? To the best of my knowledge, Insert
Symbols uses the standard AutoCAD Insert command, so this shouldn't be a
problem. Let me know.

Randall,

Did you create an object in paper space then use the "tools>Edit
Symbol Library" and create a symbol. Then try to reinsert it with the
menu item "Tools>Insert Symbols"?

Ok just watched your movie..very cool. I am using AutoCAD r14 with
SCAD CES. You are doing exactly what I mentioned, however it doesn't
work in R14.

Thanks,
Geoff

I forget that you run R14. I will try it using R14 tomorrow and let you
know.

Geoff,
R14 does seem to have this problem. Since the SurvCADD code is the
same for R14 and R2000+, whatever is causing this problem is most likely
the function we are using to create the block. As soon as I know some
more info, I will get back with you.
