Converting AutoCAD Land Development files

Postby Earle D. Knowles » Tue Dec 17, 2002 4:59 am

Is there a way I can use the DTM a consultant developed in
AutoCAD Land Development Desktop 2i with my SurvCADD HML? Also, are the
alignments and profiles convertible?

Earle,

It depends on the type of DTM source data you have. If you have LDD
Contour objects, an .FLT file, or just about any type of 3D AutoCAD entities
(3DFace, polylines, etc.), then you should be able to use it.

Alignments and profiles should be exported to the XML file format in
LDD. According to http://www.landxml.org/landxmlapps.htm - LDD2i (with the
correct extension installed) can export XML files - then use the Import XML
file functionality in SurvCADD.
