Lines with crazy elevations (Z value is over 2,000,000)

Postby Matt Timion » Fri Mar 21, 2003 2:11 am

Hello all,

I have had a few files lately that have lines with elevations over
2,000,000. This elevation is viewed in the "properties" window for the
line. A funny thing happens though when I view it in "3d view" (command:
cube). The lines with elevations of over 2,000,000 line up perfectly with
the adjacent lines with elevations of around 1500. This causes problems
when I try to nearjoin my lines. Since they are not technically the same
elevation, they will not join. I am also not sure what will happen with
these files when I import them into my earthworks software.

Has anyone experienced similar problems? Is there a way to fix this?

Matt,

I don't believe that I have seen or heard of this before. Could you email
me the drawing so I can take a look at it. Thanks.
