Recommendation for SurvCADD - improvements to NEARJOIN comma

Postby Matthew Timion » Mon Jun 30, 2003 9:17 pm

Hello all,

While using the NEARJOIN command to join contours which have been broken
(mainly joining across breaks due to elevation labels), I notice that
contours sometimes join at 90 degree angles, or to the contour directly
above it, as the nearest contour is sometimes closer than the other end of
the correct contour.

Why not add an option to the NEARJOIN command which lets the user specify an
angle of tolerance for joining adjacent lines? This way, the user can
specify the "Max seperation to join" as well as the "Max angle to join".
