Annotative Point Symbols??

Postby T1320T » Wed Mar 31, 2010 12:28 pm

Does anyone know a good/efficient way to make Carlson's point symbols annotative? I am currently inserting an annotative block of the point symbol but then I have to copy it to each node... very time consuming. If I could make Carlson's point symbol annotative it would save a ton of time.

please send your request to support@carlsonsw.com and we'll pass it along to our programming staff to see if they can add a feature like this in a future build/version. Thank you.

couldnt you edit the point block in your dwg, make it annotative,
then it would update all the points blocks that are the same block?

By "making the symbol blocks annotative" do you mean adding a label? Adding 3"Oak to your tree symbol or labeling the inverts on your culvert pipes along with the pipe size and type? Labeling Northing, Easting and elevation to your control point symbols? That kind of stuff?
If so, you do that in your field to finish set-up. Check out the "set" button to the right of the "Attribute Format" box.
If this is what you need, let me know and I can walk you through the setup.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a shot when I get some spare time to play.
