Is anyone using the beta version of Intellicad 7 with Survey/ Civil 2011? Have you found any significant bugs?
I have downloaded and plan to install it during Christmas holiday.
BTW, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
thanks.

I have 2011 Survey over 6.6 installed. What is the easiest way to move to version 7 ICAD? Is there a patch for that or do I need to go back to my install CD? Want to try it on one machine.

Thanks and Happy Holidays,

Matt

IntelliCAD 7 remains unusable even after installing the latest round of updates (build 101208). Drawing performance is pretty terrible, drawings crash when saving, changing from layout to model causes crashes pretty frequently, user profiles do not appear to be saved (toolbars constantly revert back to standard) etc etc...

If you want to installed 7 you will either need to re-install from the CD or by downloading the latest Carlson2011.exe file from theirwebsite:

Unless you have nothing to do, don't waste your time.

That's too bad. I've been anticipating Icad 7 for some time now, but it's not looking very promising.

Yeah, I know what you mean... I realize it is only beta software but ICad7 has been in beta for a loooog time. Makes me really doubt it will stabilize and show good performance for quite some time (years) after it is considered release worthy.

Just my personal opinion...

Doesn't it make you wish they would port out to Bricscad? Their program works and is twice as nice as Icad. Reasonable price, stable, they work on bugs and fix them, I have used Bricscad for years and have always been satisfied with there support.
