Draw Point Problem

I am having an issue with drawing points. When I execute the draw locate point command, only an elevation appears. If I try to draw a polyline with the Osnap turned on (snap to node only) there is nothing present. Anybody ever run into this? I have not changed any settings recently, and this problem occurs regardless of what drawing I open. Thanks for any help.

DOH!!!

I probably would have just left the question hanging.

But that's one of the things about Carlson, there are SO MANY check boxes in each window that you have to look over!! But, at least, once you get them set right they stay that way until you change them.
