Whenever I xref a drawing into my current drawing I have issues with linetypes coming through correctly. They show up as ".....?.....?.....?....." and refuse to use the correct linetype. I can go through and manually set the linetypes but as soon as I reload an xref to update any changes in the source drawing the linetypes revert back to ".....?.....?.....?.....". Any ideas how to fix this for good or am I stuck?

Guess I asked too soon.

Layers come in correctly when I detach and reattach the XREF.

Also used the command VISRETAIN and turned it to "off". Saved and reopened my drawing and the layers loaded as they should. Unfortunately, any changes I made to layers in my drawing are not reflected in the xref drawing.

I doubt this is the best solution so if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.
