Annotative Blocks/Symbols Using FTF

Postby ERICatDOUCET » Wed Feb 27, 2013 2:34 pm

Hey all,
I am taking on the task of recreating all of my blocks so they will import as annotative blocks (since right now all my blocks/symbols are non-annotative). I have successfully done this with a few test blocks/symbols. Now I have added these newly annotative blocks to my symbol manager, created a field to finish code to import that symbol, but, the code still brings in a non-annotative block. I can insert the same block file as an annotative block so it is not my block .dwg, must be a setting in either my field to finish or my symbol manager.. :/. I have torn through my settings, double checked everything. I made sure my block .dwg is up to date/saved and the current version is in my symbol mangaer. Has anybody attempted this or have any insight as to what could be going wrong?

Thanks,
-Eric

Did you update your block definitions in your *.dwt file? If the old blocks are in the template file, they will be used. Either purge the old definitions or redefine the blocks.
