Points and elevation display

Postby nwonnell » Tue Jun 18, 2013 6:23 pm

Am very new to Carlson Survey and am trying to get as much info as I can without bothering people. However, I cant find out how to get the elevations to show on my imported points from an ASCII file. I have imported several points into a .dwg and the elevation does not show up although there is one in the .crd file. I have created many points manually and the elevation shows for those points.

On another note is there anything out there as far as a tutorial about points, the symbols, blocks and attributes. I like the micromanagement that Carlson has on its points but not accustomed to it as of yet. I would like to just have one layer that contains everything for a point...being the sumbol, desc, pt no., elev. Is that possible?

Thanks in advance,
nwonnell

Also check out the training films on this web site. They cover most everything if you dig deep enough.
