Trouble printing surveys without border cut off

Postby mcneillbw » Thu Jan 09, 2014 4:20 pm

I'm using Carlson Survey with embedded CAD 2014. I can try settings all day and never get a 18" x 24" plot that doesn't cut part of the border off. I can window, center, whatever and
no go. It looks perfect in the preview but prints different. Maybe not Carlson maybe its a printer driver conflict. My drafter runs Civil 3D to appease the Engineering drawings we have to work with and he has no problem. He prints my surveys fine but I draft my own and there has to be a way to plot.
We use a RICOH ALFICIO 240W and a HP DESIGHNJET 1000 series large format.

Thanks Brian

I make my border smaller until it fits on the printed page. The last batch of 24x36 paper I got was smaller than that, so I adjusted the border on my template drawing until it plotted all of it in paper space at a 1:1 scale.

I use the "oversize" paper option.

I see that 18"X24" is a type C.

Try using Oversize: Arch C (portrait)

Or one of the other "oversize" options, you may have to try a few to get the one you like.
