I use the Point edit feature quite frequently to quick grab coordinates off of my drawing to create reports. Our servers have experienced quite a few crashes due to our clients internet carriers. This last crash some setting got mixed up and I am unable to find the setting to turn this option back on. Now when I click on one of my points it goes straight to properties. I liked the other function better, but I can and will get used to it if I have to. Any help is much appreciated.

That recently happen to us.

First, try turning PICKFIRST to 1.

also, right click in the command line, hit OPTIONS

go to the USER PREFERENCES tab,

check on DOUBLE CLICK EDITING.
