Has the Carlson CRD format changed w/SurvCE v3?

Looks like you have a new version of SurvCE/SurvPC that has some additional features. One item that caught my attention was the extended descriptor length which prompts a question – is the *.crd file format changing? And also what about the *.rw5 format? Any items we need to be aware of? About eight years ago we adopted the binary Carlson alphanumeric crd file format as our standard for coordinate files. Not just because of SurvCE but because we also have seats of Carlson Survey and our own DCOL_CE data collection package we wrote for some specific transmission line measurements we need to do - it uses the CRD/RW5 format as well.

Could you share some tech details – it would probably make our transition to 3.0 a little easier.

Best regards,
Terry
