ungrouping entities.

Postby daveland3d » Wed Jan 22, 2014 6:00 am

I have a bunch of lines that I placed into a Group using the "Group" command.
Now I am trying to Ungroup these entities.
The typical routine to accomplish this would be to type the "Group" command again and then to select the named group and click on the "Ungroup Entities" button and then press "OK".

I've tried this a number of times and it is just not working. I have even tried exploding and that won't work either.
I also tried the same routine as described above and then clicked on "Remove Entities from Group" but no luck.

Can anyone please suggest a solution?

Thanks,

CTRL A
toggles the "grouping" (like an explode)
another CTRL A toggles it back

OR if you only want to ungroup one group type
RMGROUP (remove group)
and select that group

This is what I get on the command line when I hit CTRL A and then Hit CTRL A again.
Unfortunately all the entities are still in a group and can't be separated.

FILter/<Select entities to display grips>:
Command: _SELGRIPS
1152 found
Command: _ALL
Unable to recognize command "_ALL". Please try again.

RMGROUP (remove group)

here is what happens on the command line when I type in RMGROUP and select the group I want to Ungroup.

Command: rmgroup
Select entities to remove from groups.
FILter/<Select entities>:
Entities in set: 39
FILter/<Select entities>:
Removed 0 groups.

Here's what happens when I type in CTRL A:
<Group off>
and CTRL A again:
<Group on>

Here's what happens when I type RMGROUP:
Select entities to remove from groups.
Select objects: 4 found, 1 group
Removed 1 groups.

I'm using Carlson 2013 w/embedded ACAD.

Sorry it doesn't work for you. :(
