Callout Leader

Postby CARL M » Tue Feb 25, 2014 7:06 pm

When I draw a callout leader, the dialog box (mask) causes the text inside to print out as a solid black box. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Is there any way to create the callout leader without the box?

When plotting,

edit your .ctb (very top right icon in the PLOT dialog box)

and make sure you are using "OBJECT COLOR" for pen 8, not black.
And for LINETYPE, use OBJECT LINETYPE.

I'm surprised that there is no apparent way to erase the background color in the box. That's what I think is printing as a black solid. The only work around I have found is to zoom in on the box and do an "erase"-"crossing" to select the background color and the image frame. You can do the same and then type "R" for remove and select the image frame to get the open box and text at the end of the leader. It's a PIA!! Surprised that they do not have a "none" selection for the mask color.

It has to be your .ctb file when plotting using a black pen for the mask colour. Try making it colour 253.
