Import Lat/Lon File?

Postby tstrickland » Fri May 08, 2015 6:31 pm

Does anyone know how to import a file containing latitude and longitude into Carlson Survey, or SurvCE? I've only been able to manually input one point a time.

In "Import Text/Ascii" there is a radio button just above the Draw Points pick list to "Process Space Separated DMS Latitude/Longitude. Give that a try. Never tried it myself.

I've never saw that before. Unfortunately, the files that I have are decimal degrees in a comma delimited file.
I was able to convert it in Corpscon by manually editing the negative signs for longitude and exporting to state plane coordinates.
I am surprised that it isn't available in Carlson. I get these from time to time from outside sources.
However, it may be, I have previously overlooked the button you mentioned.
