Activesync Problem

Postby bsouva » Sun Jan 02, 2011 9:48 pm

I recently bought a used explorer data collector. I can not get the data collector to link up with the PC using activesync. When I touch the PC connection on the data collector the activesync green circle will turn and try to connect. Is there any ideas on what to do. I have tried numerous versions of activesync with no success. Please help "Lost in PC Land"

Use Xport or SurvCom

I would recommend disabling ActiveSync by right-clicking it then left click "Connection Settings" and uncheck the box for "Allow connections to one of the following / Com1" then click Apply or OK

You can click the link below and download Item # 2 listed as filename "SurvCom.zip":
http://update.carlsonsw.com/updates.php ... ersion=2.0

You can just unzip this to a folder on your desktop and in your Explorer run SurvCE and go into File / Data Transfer = set it on Com1 and tap "Carlson Transfer" at the top.

Then double-click the SurvCom.exe file on your laptop or desktop computer in the folder you just unzipped to connect up
