Use Finnish NLS Store Points Style?

Does anyone know what this means, under options in SurvCE 3? It's not in the manual, or at least I couldn't find it. It's checked by default in my data collector.

FWIW: Found out today from support that this is for a particular format in Finland. Don't know why it was checked on my DC, but it didn't hurt anything.
I searched high & lo in knowledge base and elsewhere for this and found nothing, finally asked support when checking another issue.
