What is the difference between 'FIXED' and 'FIXED*'

Postby wdt » Thu Feb 17, 2011 11:24 am

When doing GPS Network VRS RTK work the 'Store points' screen shows two different forms of fixed solutions - one is 'FIXED' and the other is 'FIXED*'.

What is the difference ? (There is nothing in the manual to explain the difference)

Software = SURVCE 2.52
Receiver = Sokkia 2700 ISX
Collector = Allegro CX

I know with Carlson's Surveyor+GPS, there are two fixes:

An initial Fix (with *) and a Verified Fix, which removes the
*. The Verified Fix occurs when the same RTK position is found by a secondary fix calculation.

Check out page 553 of the SurvCE manual.

A fixed charge is a mortgage on a specific fixed-asset to secure the repayment of a loan. In this arrangement the asset is signed over to the creditor and the borrower would need the lender's permission to sell it. The lender also registers a charge against the asset which remains in force until the loan is repaid.
