Demo Version and Com Port Selection
Posted: Sun Oct 28, 2012 6:30 pmI downloaded the demo version of Survey 2013 and am attempting to download a Carlson 600+ Explorer. I guess I have several questions, so here goes.
1. Will the demo version download and upload just like a licensed copy?
2. I am running Windows Vista as OS, any known connection issues inherent to Vista?
3. I am using a mini USB cable and am assuming on the Explorer this is Com 2, as the serial cable is set to Com 1 and transfers just fine with the serial to serial connection on the office computer. As I don't have a serial to USB cable and there is no serial 9 pin on this particular computer, the mini plug is my only option right now.
4. At the office we use the SurvCE/Mobile option (server mode) and everything looks fine from the computer end, however can't get it to connect or recognize the Explorer.
