Printing to PDFs and filenaming

General question to users out there. We use Carlson embedded on Autocad. We also use Adobe Distiller X to print PDF's. Everything has been working fine. One problem we've run into though is the output filename always adds a (1) to the end of the filename. Anyone know how to shut this off. For example our file names look like this: BASE-C-100 (1).pdf or DETAILS-C-300 (1).pdf
