CG Survey 7 installed, but doesn't run. Help!

Today we downloaded and installed the huge CG Survey 7 file from the
Carlson webite. When we click on the icon to run it, we get an error
message "A required .dll file AC1ST16.dll was not found."

What happened? Anyone else run into this problem? How can we get the
program up and running correctly?

(We've been using various versions of CG Survey for nearly ten years.)

This sounds like a common AutoCAD problem.

Thanks for the quick response.

There's always an uneasy feeling when you run a self-installing software
file, and then the program doesn't launch.

We were relieved to solve this issue & get CG Survey 7 working so we can
evaluate it. We've been using other versions of CG for years and have been
happy with it, but it's time for another upgrade.
