Batch Point Files Problems

Postby Robert Johnston » Fri Jan 03, 2003 1:00 am

When we edit batch point files on our server and close the editor we get
"sharing violation" errors.

We are running Intellicad 98 (locally) with C&G Version 5.10.13

Any Ideas ?

Thanks

Robert,

I have some questions for you and then some things to try. First, has this
just all of a sudden happened, or is this a problem that you have been
having for a while? Also, after getting the sharing violation error, where
the changes saved to the batch file? When you reopened the file where the
changes there?
A couple of things that may help or fix the problem. First, under the
Options pulldown, go to Output Options. The path for the printer.txt file
should be on your local machine. If everyone is using the same filename,
then this could be what is causing the sharing violation. If you don't want
to specify a different path, then each user that is accessing these files
should change their individual output file name to something unique.
If the above doesn't help, try copying the batch point file to your local
harddrive and see if you get the same results. Let me know how it goes and
what you find.
