Does C&G 6.0 allow alias edits? An abundant of typical keyboard commands
are unavailable....

Also is the C&G 'freeze' supposed to work inside inside a vport as a
vpfreeze (as in Autocad)..... it appears that only the long method pf manual
turn for vpfreeze is available?

Why is the wipeout object enabler not available? creates vast amount of
incompatibility issues.....can't even explode and delete objects....How does
C&G expect users to "clean" drawings---- by trimming out croosing lines
(through text) .....what time C&G has saved in specific functionality is
then lost?.....

C&G Survey version 6 is a standalone version of CG-Survey for AutoCAD.
While both softwares offer full C&G functionality, C&G Survey version 6
utilizes the AutoDesk 2002 engine, and is much less expensive than a seat of
AutoCAD. It does not include the full functionality of AutoCAD. MTEXT and
many, many other comands are supported, but if you need to edit your alias
list
and the express toolbars, you'll need to purchase a seat of AutoCAD and run
CG-Survey for AutoCAD.

I suspect that the "xxxx.pgp" file (where xxxx is the product code) is
editable as described in the thread titled "Customizing Carlson survey"
(06/07/04) in the Carlson-survey newsgroup.

AFAIK, both products are build on AutoCAD OEM, so this procedure should
work. Of course, this will not gain access to disabled commands, only
allow you to create shortcuts for enabled commands.

Good luck.
