Copy, Clip & Move not working properly

Postby mark baker » Tue Jun 30, 2015 7:32 pm

I use Carlson 2013 embedded. A lot of time clip does not function property. Sometimes when I try to move or copy an object, it automatically throws my basepoint out in space (long distance from where I actually want). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you use the paste using coordinates function?

No. When I use clipboard to copy to another drawing I use paste by coordinates. That function. In my original post I said clip but I guess I should have said trim.

When using the Trim command check the options in the command line after you have selected your trimming object and type E for Edge. then E again for Extend. This may solve your problem. Also, the move or copy command will shift things to 0,0 if you click your right mouse button one too many times.

Also you may want to try the EXTRIM command. It will trim everything inside or outside a Polyline
